Overview :

Dive into the world of Ottoman perfumery and create your own unique scent inspired by the Sultans.
In this hands-on workshop, you will learn about the history and art of perfume making in the Ottoman Empire. You will be guided by an experienced perfumer who will teach you how to mix essential oils and other natural ingredients.
The workshop is a great opportunity to learn the art of perfume making and create your own unique Sultan scent.

Workshop Content
• History of olfaction and perfumery in the Ottoman Empire
• Components and notes of perfume (top, middle, base notes)
• Types and concentrations of perfumes prepared for the Sultans
• Tips for using and storing perfumes
• Introduction to different scent families (floral, woody, spicy, etc.)
• Exercises to identify and distinguish scents
• Techniques for developing scent memory
• Selecting and mixing scent notes
• Creating a perfume formula
• Materials and equipment used in perfume making
Design your own perfume through experiments and create your own unique scent inspired by the Sultans.

Our Instructors 
Experts who transforms perfume design into a science and art form. We teach the participants how to create not just a perfume, but also a special experience that expresses their personal stories and energies. Our teachers who has a deep knowledge of the effect of scents on people’s emotions, memories and identities, has met with participants in many local and international workshops. Its aim is to transform perfume design into an enjoyable and unforgettable experience.

What is Included in the Workshop Fee:
– All materials to be used during the workshop: Raw materials (essential oils, aroma molecules, perfume bases and denatured ethyl alcohol), consumables (pipettes and paper strips), equipment (beakers, bottles and other glass containers), training notes will be provided to each participant.
– Participants will design and produce 1 50 ml perfume and will be able to take the perfume they designed with them at the end of the workshop.
– Turkish Tea or Coffee is included in the workshop.

Things to Know Before the Workshop
• Participants with any skin or respiratory problems (allergies, alcohol allergy, asthma etc.) or conditions such as pregnancy are kindly requested to consult their doctors before applying.
• The workshop is open to participants over the age of 10. It is sufficient to have a normal sense of smell for participation.
• It is recommended not to use perfume, cologne, lotion, cream, etc. scented products before the workshop.
• If you have any health problems (allergies, asthma, etc.), pregnancy, wheelchair use, etc. special conditions, you must inform them during your reservation. Reservation cancellation rules apply for cases that are not reported.
